I finished installing mine about a month ago. I got them from 4x4groupbuy.com. They were probably about $150 less than Dynatrac's list price. The installation was straight forward, except the included instructions had several errors. First you will not need an 1-11/16" socket. The hub nut is metric and an 1-11/16 socket does not fit it. Actually you do not need to remove the hub nut at all, because the entire assembly will come out with the axle shafts and then you can disassemble the U-Joint to separate the pieces. The hardest part of the installation was separating the disc brake rotor from the hub, as it was frozen in place. The factory used no anti-seize. I always use anti-seize.
I too had to shorted the studs and I have the aluminum wheels. The studs were about 1/4" to long.
They only tricky part was cutting a hole in the hub cap. I was able to chuck it in my lathe and do it that way. A much more precise procedure than attempting a hole saw.
My hubs do not appear to extend as far out as I have seen pictures posted on this forum, so I am wondering if Dynatrac has modified their design. I do have the Warn hubs.
Overall I am very happy with the results. The truck steers better, not as vague, and I can jockey my 5th wheel trailer around in low range without the drive train binding up. My truck is now the way Dodge should have built it in the first place. However, I have not noticed any discernible difference in fuel mileage.
