So i got my truck running this last weekend with a Suncoast transmission with almost all the goodies. I also threw on jammer 3 100hp injector tips and a TST PM3 with my superchip. With the boost elbow i can pull about 38-40 lbs of boost. I haven't really been able to keep it floored for a while cause i can suck the fuel pressure down to 2 psi. But my egts haven't even gotten past 900 deg. Even bogging it up a hill for a while will only get it up 800-850 deg.

I have 4. 10s, i think i might be 375-425 HP at the wheel. What do you guys think?

I think i can go with 150HP injectors and still be ok on egts with my current turbo. Any 2 cents will be welcomed.

I will be piggy backing a holley blue pump for now in the system this weekend.

BUT, i would like to know other people's dyno proven numbers.

Its an Autometer pyro that is pre turbo. I thought i would have a problem with egts. But the PM3 seems pretty mild by its self.

Your EGTs are way low. Somethings not right. I doubt that EGT is working properly. That should be melting down with jammer 3s and 38 pounds of boost.

DD3' s and a smarty I could peg 1600 on a stock turbo if I stayed in it. 1400 no problem... ... . I would check. I dynoed my old setup was stuff in my sig with a stock turbo and an ofe. I think my #'s were on the low side though, I was hoping low 400's.

So i checked my temps with a Raytech infared temp gun. At idle the gauge read about 275 and the gun read about 230-250 with it held about 12 inches away from where the pyro port was. I can't really check so see if the 800-900 temps are correct cause i would need some one to sit on the fender and while i beat it down the road. :-laf But i did run it up and down the street and jumped out as quick as i could and check the temps, the gauge read 600 and the gun was saying about 580 and was cooling down steadily.

So i dont think the guage would be broken, its only about 9 months old and has been opperating for maybe 5-6 of those months.

I hooked on my girlfriends 3,500lbs horse trailer and beat the truck around town and still couldn't get the egts way up. I did notice however i got more boost with a load behind the truck. The needle swung all the way around to the first "O" in boost on my 35lb gauge.

I'm going to try and dyno this thurs or friday and bring the temp gun to verify. I thought the temps were going to by high too with this turbo, thats why i didn't want to go with 150HP injectors... . we'll see.

You definitely have something wrong, you should be able to peg 1300 no problem with that set up. The Raytech is not an accurate way to measure egt's, the gas can vary wildly while the cast iron manifold takes a while to reflect the temperature inside, all your getting is the manifold temperature. I think your gauge is faulty. Where did you put the thermocouple? Did you secure the connections good and shrink wrap them? I can peg 1200 without trying and I only have RV275's with a Juice, plus I have an Aurora 2000 turbo! When I had my HX35 it was worse! As far as boost, you can't get more than maybe 37 psi tops with a stock HX35.

Your turbo will not live long being run @ 40 psi. It is out of it's MAP at 32, and overspeeding it will be the cause of it's demise. Upgrade the huffer before you go bigger on the sticks.

You should wrap any electrical connections to prevent corrosion, especially if they are exposed to the elements, plus if you don't shrink wrap the screw connections on the thermocouple lead you run the risk of shorting it out.

So i got my Holley Blue pump on last night. It pegs the 15lbs gauge at idle and i can't suck it down below 7 at WOT and 3,200 RPMs. Now when i do a pass by the time I hit 100-105 the pyro is at about 1300 degrees. I can still tickle the first "O" of Boost on my 35lbs gauge. So far egts haven't really been too bad.
