I consider Washington state home since I graduated high school there, but I can say I am glad I am not there now.
I came back, (Brylcreem ;)), here after many years away. THS alum...
Miss the "short tour"* and aromas of the Oly beery now that it has closed down.
* Short tour: Sign up for the brewery tour in the lobby. While waiting as a group for your tour to begin, meander toward and mingle with the returning previous tour group entering the lobby and line up to get free yummy samples of nectars and avoid the cool, informational tour part, unless it's mid summer, where a cool half hour or so tour becomes most fortuitous before consuming those delectable free nectars.
The politics and imports (big city lights attracting the moths of the world) have dramatically changed the atmosphere. Country folk have changed little, although encroachment by undesirable government and imported moths to the quiet, peaceful country life is exponentially on the rise.

We still spend the summers in WA, that's the ONLY time it's worth it!!!

Looks like Deception Pass???
The crab reminds me of Crab nights at the Olympia Elks club in the late 60's where I bused. That was about one-third of what we would cook and crack for the members. First time I had the opportunity to eat one of them nasty looking sea insects - The cook and other bus boys found out that I had never eaten crab. They remedied that after the prepping by pinning me to the floor and force fed me a large handful of rejected pieces...darn stuff was addicting...loved it!
