Looking for information on hauler

Roof seam sealant

Well i have been doing a ton of research lately trying to track down a suitable truck camper for my dodge that works with a stock-ish 2005 2500 short bed 4 door ram. Most campers i have found in my search comes up with some that are too large and expensive for my budget and truck. Wail others look like i put it together with some roofing material and a screw gun in 5th grade for a class project and got an F. The only thing that seamed to be close to what i am looking for is Earth Roamer's old camper that was built on a second gen extended cab short bed Dodge. It looks to be the right size, as i will only be using it on long weekends camping and skiing. The bad news is that they don't seam to make that any more and now they have moved on to the quarter million doller ford which to say the least is about 200+K out of my price range. So my question is, Is there another company that sells something along the same lines that maybe is even offered in a slide-in version so i don't have to worry about storing the bed, and for a reasonable price? Or is Earth Roamer still making them and just not advertising any more? Thanks

The thread here about the Alaskan Camper brings fond memories to my Wife and I of our 1990 trip and 8000 miles on the Alaskan Highway. We were the third owners of this 1967 unit and had no troubles with it. We did however break the transmission flex plate on our old Dodge gasser "73" in the Yukon. Spent one week in Fairbanks for repair. It rained the entire trip almost and we had no leaks. The new Alaskan campers have come a long way. This is a quality built unit and properly named. It was a 7 week trip and one of a life-time. We graduated to a "93" CTD on our return home.
