Competition Race Legal Roll-Cage

It always seems like I start getting ready early enough but it never fails, the week before moab is 18 hr days. whats the deal?

Who's going? I'll be there with the guys from Xtreme Engineering

I hate not going to Moab anymore, I just sold my rock crawler (Jeep). Been doing it for 20 years, and just lost interest. But Moab was never boring, and always a good time with my buds! Have a great time. BY the way, do they still charge to get to Lions Back??

I just thought I was going to have an easy go of it this year, then I lost 5th gear and had to do a 6spd transmission swap. That deal has set me back and put me in hyper mode! Looks like I'll spend this weekend running around like a crazy man getting everything ready.

As far as I know Lion's Back is still a pay deal unless you go in from the back side. I haven't been over there in the last few years, so not up on the latest.

Last time we were at Moab, we came up to Lions Back from the back. At the bottom of Lions Back there were 2 crosses with flowers. My wife saw them and said she was NOT going up... She went up the year before! I guess a couple young guys on the top rolled over the edge. Probably was not pretty!! I used to have a video of a Blazer coming down Lions Back with no brakes! Crashed and rolled at the bottom, amazing that they were seriously hurt. I don't remember why the brakes quit, I think the engine died on the way down and no power.

I've got that video, pretty wild ride. I've been up the back side, spooky ride, screw up and you can die. We got sleeted on up on Poison Spider Mesa Sunday, the last two days have been pretty nice, but more storms on the way. There's a lot of cool stuff running around town, I'll post pix when I get home.

I'm jealous!!!! But I sold my machine:-(. But it had to go, it was just gathering dust and we now spend all our spare time on the Harleys. But some of our best times were at Moab. Poison Spider and Golden Spike were my favorites as well as the Upper Helldorado.

You ever get a chance, try out the Die Tryin trail at Montrose Colorado and The Independence trails at Penrose Colorado. You like Moab, you'll LOVE those!! Guaranteed.

Have a good time and stay safe out there!

I'm headed back in the morning, spent most of the week out in the boonies exploring with some buddies, one used to live here a few years ago. The cops are raining down pretty hard on the buggy guys this year that aren't street legal, almost like Sturgis without the skin, LOL.

Always fun up there, weather kinda sucked though. They brought in extra cops and were mostly messing with the buggy guys that weren't street legal. This is the earliest I remember Easter being since I've been going out there.
