havent gone to any dealers to look at them don’t care to be hassled without knowing what I’m doing with my truck yet. Been thinking the ecodiesel would be nice, but I need a long bed, is that an option? All I see is crew cab short bed

I’m suspecting that our little 1/2-tons are not “serious” enough trucks for such consideration.

I could be dreadfully wrong, but, the target market seems to be “Suburbia”.

Not an expert at all on the ED, but all appeared to be Quadcab, did not run across any standard cabs. They have what some call Longbed.

Quadcab 6'4" is the "longbed" of ED from what I saw the other day.

QC 5'7" is most popular out there as far as dealer stock.

Then you have the console vs bench seat trucks, again 6'4" being less common.

The 6'4" bed is already pretty tight on the ratings so they have some odd configurations. Example I did not see any 6'4" with a spray in bed liner. Saw somewhere that messed with the ratings somehow.

The two configurations stocked by most dealers are Quad cab long (6'4") bed and Crew cab short (5'7") bed. I had to order my Crew long (6'4") bed as I just could not find any.

Here is my question; FCA offers the ecodiesel with a long bed regular cab Tradesman for the 2018 classic but not the 2019. Can you still order a 2018 classic and have it built and delivered now in model year 2019?

You can locate them on ramtrucks site within 150 miles or have a dealer locate them nationally. They cranked out some 2018s into December so they are out there including 8 foot bed. The one above was one of two locally in a smaller population area.

Suburbia would not be a target market for a diesel even in a half ton.

Some of us use them commercially just for lighter loads. This one just turned 500,000 miles.

Cool.... to clarify: Texas suburbia. We’re a little different. Even shipping to Texas, though, the spare tire is a darn donut. I mys
