wasnt my question ,can i run the ez on 2 without having any problems or setting off any bs codes . - where did i say anything about warranty claims. if a code comes up i dont feel like taking my truck to the dealer, loosing the truck for the day just to reset a code. SO BUZZ OFF GEEZER.

Its your truck and your mods if you wanna have the EZ on your truck and abuse your warranty thats your business . The way I see it you do what ever you want . Once you change any thing on your vehicle if its engine related or or interior related you have changed the truck from its factory form . I have a 2006 all stock never had it in the shop for any repairs ive been lucky with my truck i take care of it in a form that suits my needs . My last truck was a 2004 305/555 and I Had a Edge EZ I would be careful with that set up and towing it raises the fuel rail presure alot and I would put in a EGT gauge . Your not gonna lose you warranty by installing a gauge thats stupid .

from what i understand if i install an egt gauge im opening a can of worms if down the road i have any warranty problems. considering all the nightmares i read about in these forms. how hard is it to install a egt gauge?

I believe this is the post where you talk about warranty claims. I am with JHardwick in the sense that I can't see the logic in running an EZ, which is a garunteed problem maker as far as warranty, but being unwilling to run an EGT gauge which has no bearing on any warranty claims.

If you run BOTH the EGT gauge and the EZ, you significantly reduce the chances of a melt down and the need to make a warranty claim right?

If you go out and pull your boat on level 2, burn down the motor and take it to the dealer, you are going to have a problem, they can detect the EZ. If you install the gauge and pay attention to the EGTs while running on 2 or even 3, you stand a much better chance of not burning down the motor and having to visit the dealer.

If setting a code is an issue, that is going to be a tip off to the dealer that something has been altered, and they will void your warranty.

Install gauges, watch them, and run however/whatever you like. I agree though that running the EZ, towing and not having gauges is pretty foolhardy.

For what it's worth... get guages! They were the first mod I put on my truck... the EZ came much later. Better to monitor and prevent any problems or at least detect them.

Sounds like the question has been answered--everything else is just ****'n in the wind--just advise--take it or leave it!!!!!
