Hi All

I've been viewing for a few weeks but need help so I joined. I've spent the last 2 hours searching to find a post with my situation to no avail.

I have '98 2500HD 4x4 with some stuff. I'm so new I haven't done a sig. yet!

About 2wks ago my fuel line ruptured and sprayed about 4-6 gallons of fuel inside engine compartment before I could pull over safely. Since then my EGT gauge , which is mounted pre-turbo, does not zero out. Gauge reads 300* cold. My mechanic said don't worry, they aren't very reliable anyway. Should I worry? I never had a problem prior to fuel leak. Is this related or just coincidence?

Also what is "normal" oil pressure range? Mine runs 40 at idle, 80-90 once I hit OD.

Recommendations please.

Thanks much.
