I Thought Winter was the Alaska Tourist Season??

Looking for comments or personal experience, any one have them? Going to buy a 38' 24,000# gvw and thought maybe better brakes would be nice, if they are better.

I have the Master Brake electrolic brakes on my Automate 34' 5th wheel and I have nothing bad to say about them at all, it is by far the best brakes on a trailer I have ever had. Don't forget to get the brake controller that goes with it. If you want to check it out or if you have any more questions fell free to drop me a line.

I had an email from Dan Shockley in this thread and I've researched (the similar) vacuum over hydraulic trailer brakes system he's using from Blue Dot Inc. and they appear to be just the ticket... . Over here in Europe, if you want to pull a trailer which has more than 7,700lbs GVWR, then surge brakes don't meet the performance and safety standards and air over hydraulic would be prohibitively expensive, so this is an excellent and affordable compromise. IOW, it's better to suck than blow :p

Question to you: Would Automate be able to configure this type of trailer braking system into their RVs? Ever since I saw your monster parked up in San Jose in 2001, I've been saving up and the Blue Dot brakes would enable me to get it past local DMV tests in Europe.

Mopar_Mudder Yes you can use a standard controller like a Jordan but the Prodigy will not work. The advantage to the Master Brake controller is it interacts with the brake system and you get more functions. Look at there web site and check it out.

JohnMcIntyre, How are you buddy, I would think Automate would do something like that if it was needed where you are. They are very open minded.
