Before i did my deletes i ran an Edge Evo HT 36030, this tuner did everything Edge said it would do and i had absolutely 0 problems with it. I was able to keep all the factory pollution stuff on it. I had more power, the Regens were about the same, and saw a very slight increase in fuel mileage. The edge evo HT does not have any gauges.

However, any time you change the fuel settings, timing, etc.. you DEFINITELY have to have gauges!!!

Thanks for the information on the Evo HT. Edge told me that it is the same programs that the Evolution CS/CTS use, just no monitoring.

I purchased a Evolution CS model. I like being able to watch 8 different gauges on one screen. I hooked up the CS and watched what stock looked like for boost, rail pressure, and the exhaust egt's on a 30 mile trip. Stock boost is fairly low at cruise, rail pressure was in the 4-17 kpsi range, and the exhaust seemed to stay in the 600-750 F range cruising.

I only plan on using the tow tune and I did program that in but I haven't driven it yet. I'll post some impressions after I get it on the road. I'll also compare some of my stock gauge reading to the tow tune.

I'm curious to know if the current programmers (Smarty?) are able to alter the programming to help the low end throttle response (factory power management) and eliminate the "dead pedal" conditions?

Contact Brain at Smarty on this site he might be able to answer your question.

So far so good on the tow tune. Boost is about the same but climbs a little faster, 0-5 psi cruising. All egt sensors seem to stay around 600-700 cruising so not much difference. I did see two regenerations and temps are 1100-1200 degrees F empty on both events. On the first one after the regeneration ended temps stayed at 1100-1250 for another 20 minutes. Must have been the other types of regeneration going on there.

Power is good, the tow tune is only 35hp/130ft/lbs but it is noticeable. I may play with the economy tune (60hp/180ft/lbs) one day.

Regeneration seems to be every 140-150 miles on this tune. Not sure what the interval is for stock. Mileage on my first tank so far is 325 miles for the first half tank unloaded with mixed but mainly hwy miles.
