You might still be pulling air
Get a large 5 gal. plastic clear water cooler jug put an extension hose from the input line to the VP44 into the bottom of the Jug. Power up the relay and let it run,This way if the pump intermitantly sucks air you can wittness it by air bubbles in the jug. It would also be a good idea to put an amp meter on the power supply to the pump, to watch for intermitant electrical issues e. g. poor wiring connections would show up as low amp draw way less than 6amps . Shorting pump issues will show up as high amp draw near 8 to 10 amps. You could stress the pump by pinching of the hose. When you do this you will see the amps go up slightly. This way you can eliminate the complete fuel delivery system. All the debris inthe tank might be clogging screens that protect the suction side of most pumps. You could also blow compressed air from the pump into the tank,CAUTION make sure the tank is low on fuel AND the fillcap is OFF or you will split your tank,if there is debris in the tank you will temporarliy clear it and the truck will run better until the trash finds it self back in the suction line. Its just to see if trash is the issue.
Just an update... ... Truck ran fine for 42 miles and now its back to the same crap. Installed the 1k ohm resister and still nothing. I'll keep plugin away. .
