OK... after what seems like 100 oil changes... I've decided to change out my oil plug... I see Geno's has some choices... what are you guys having good luck with... ??

Thanks in advance.

Had the EZ change on my 03. Liked the lower profile and ease of use. Disliked having to keep up with the drain tube. Quick drains sure make it easier to pull oil samples. Probably made about 30 oil changes with no problems.

Dropped the stock oil plug in my oil drain pan, the closed type that has a plug on top, and the Cummins plug fell right in the hole. Well, the top of the pan filled up pretty quick LOL and had about a gallon and a half of used oil on my driveway before I could get another pan under there. Got the quick drain plug plus hose from Geno's right then. Still had to deal with the stock plug one more time, but have done two changes with the hose and it works GREAT! Found another site that sells these for all other vehicles and have put them on my Dodge Magnum and GMC Sierra (1/2 ton gasser).

Works really good on the two gassers 'cause on both of them the oil plug (and therefore, the oil) comes out sideways. The hose makes it easy to direct the oil where it needs to go. Now the only mess is what drips from the filter. Filter relocation next! :)

I gather that the release handle is removable to prevent accidental draining.
It's not removable, but it has to move up then back to open. In case of the one million to one odds of a double action event happening,I mounted a small hose clamp between the lever and the opening. This device is a quantum leap over the stock plug.

I've used Fumoto drains on my vehicles for about twenty years. I especially like the variety with the nipple; I use a piece of scrap tubing to ensure the waste oil fills my jug and not the garage floor. I don't do much off-roading with my Dodge so I don't worry about the nipple getting caught on something and losing my oil.
