Hello all,

Any one know where I can get a engine wiring diagram specific to the 1997 Dodge Cummins? I have looked at Google Images and I cannot find anything specific to that truck.

My oil gauge stopped working in the dash when I replaced the power steering pump and broke the old sensor and when I replaced the sensor it still doesn't work. So, I need to find out what the circuit is doing and what wire is a ground if at all. I started tracing the wire down and found there is more than one sensor on the same circuit so I need a schematic. Any help would be appreciated.

Cheapest is to sign up for a monthly subscription to mopar1973man.com and it's in the download section.

Cost like $5 a month you need to be a paid member for that area.

Or purchase one from Geno's Garage, Amazon, or Tech Authority.

I looked through my Chilton and Haynes manuals for the 94-96 models. The Haynes manual has a schematic, but I do not see the oil pressure sensor cited.

Yes I did buy the wrong oil pressure sensor at first but genos garage replaced it at a discount for me. So it’s actually plugged into the harness and it still doesn’t work. Need to figure it out. Thanks guys

Now that I think of it I don't think you can PM since the site upgrade. I believe now you have to start a conversation. Same thing, click on the user name and select start a conversation.

I tried to start a "conversation" with JustinB a few days ago to share a Service Manual with him but don't think the message ever got through or someting else. I couldn't add a link to the manual in the message, so just told him to send me his email?
He should still buy a paper FSM from Genos. IMO there is nothing like being able to turn pages when in the shop, greasy fingerprints and all. You can always tell what problems / mods I have had with my vehicles by the pages with the grease marks. No library queens in my shop!

I learned the hard way that when you make a revision in wiring, MAKE A NOTE OF IT!!!!!! I got tired of having to run through a cycle LONG ago just to roll down, or up, the windows. Still know what I did and what revisions I made. When I photocopy it for a friend, the revision goes with it.

Yep, I have both the paper, and the CD version. I would hate to part with either.

Looks like the moderator finally approved my link to the 97 FSM, it is now active in post #5, if anyone is looking. I didn't create the file or link site, so not sure how long it will be around.
