error code?

Help! I just went out to start the truck and found a check engine light. Error code is P 0071, can anyone tell me what this code is. Thanks.

Just checked in my 2000 shop manual and it zips right past that number. It may be a new code for 2001

Yep, even my 2001. 5 manuals jump from P0036 to P0106.

Thanks guys. It seems strange that the code is not listed in the service manual. The truck is only a few months old. Maybe it is a "California" code. I took the truck on a 400 mi. trip with a camper and boat attached and it ran fine. About half way through, the engine lite went out but I just checked and the code is still there. I guess I will call the dealer, although they are usually clueless. Thanks again.

How do you get the code numbers? Is there a way to display them without a scan tool?
