I was just talking to the Cummins Alberta parts desk in Calgary and they are offering the ESPAR heater to their "Power Booster Club" members for $2000 Cdn. The 7 day timer is and extra $240 Cdn. The regular non club price was around $2500 #ad
. I thought that it would be alot more. (mind you I can't afford it anyhow!!!)

Ya, after reading your E-mail and link, its not such a "hot" price!!! #ad
. I don't think that there is alot of bargaining but it is cheaper than the local Dodge Dealers!! Again, exchange and duty is extra, plus we have to pay GST (goods and services tax.

The closest I got to the US price was a verbal ... "Maybe 1200. 00 cash and carry. "
Which is about 820. 00 USD plus 7% tax.
Then when I called back to the regional ESPAR rep he would not return my calls. I wanted that in writing. He was concerned about me shipping them south of the border too.
I dropped it.
I guess I'll just bank in 500. 00 towards electricity for plugging over the next few years.

Good effort Lil' Dog... we just get it a bit harsher up here huh?

I don't see why you guys can't get the same deal (dollar conversion would likely have to apply of course).

I think its too late for me to consider. The time of year and the new truck coming. I always say, "If it seems to difficult to accomplish, perhaps it should not be done. "
I tired several time a few months ago and it got to be too much hassle for me. I let it go.

I'm with you Scott, the price wars in the US are just too good to be true for us. If I had the money I think it would be a neat toy.
I was wondering about a 120V circulating heater instead of the block heater as mine just died earlier this week.
Anyone have one of the electric circulating heaters installed?????

I'm just using the block heater and an interior warmer. I have battery blankets but I've been a lazy man when it comes to putting them in cuz I would have to yank them off for the new truck when it gets here.

I read a post that there is a rebate [in the US anyway] on the ETH trucks of 1,000. 00. This might be my incentive to do the ESPAR on my 01' Great White when it gets here.
