Hello all, sorry for the delay, here is an update:
  1. Checked for vacuum leaks. I put a vacuum pump on the line from the pump, and it held 20" of vacuum for over 15 minutes.
  2. Pulled the tube to the air-horn...bone dry and clean as a whistle.
  3. The dirt in the intake side of the Turbo is probably from the K&N filter the PO had on the truck when I bought it. That went directly into the trash.
  4. No oil leaks.
When I get back from Holland, I will put a Manometer on the dipstick and see what is going on there. Hard to believe that with only 200K miles on the engine, it is time to do rings. The truck used a litre or two between oil changes. Now it is getting ridiculous. I just dumped 2 litres in today. That is an oil-change worth of oil, and I still have around 1.000 before it is due for a change.

Saw the video from Cummins. When I got the truck, it still "squeaked" the belt, and did not use TONS of Oil. I do not "lug" the motor, but do tend to cruise around at 1.200 rpm on short runs. I have had a lot of job-sites in Holland, so have been doing a lot of driving on the Autobahn at speeds of 70-85 mph.

The oil doesnt have to be ingested in the compressor side but can be pushed out into the turbine side, meaning you wouldnt see anything in the intake if that was the problem.
And check the level of engine venting when you disconnect and cap off the vacuum pump main line. If all is working correctly then it should make no difference.

You do not go down really steep hills do you? The 24V is noted for pumping oil out the breather on the front of the timing cover on steep down hills. SnoKing

Well. Jeepers, it appears that I made the problem myself, Somewhere in one of my posts are the pictures of the breather box I made as an alternative to the aperin bottle from Dodge. In the first version, I put a normal breather cap on, There was oil vapour everywhere, so I installed a cap with a hose that I routed to the frame.

I noticed that there was still a ton of oil mist making a mess. Since I had/have a bunch of jobsites in Holland, I used "Tommy tape¨ to seal the cap to the ¨breather¨ box. Well this was the start of the excessive oil consumption.

Before we left for Texel, I wiped the cap off (sorry no picture) Taking a look at the cap, BING! The openings in the cap were only as large as the clamps for the spring.

I did a quick boo-rig andtook a drill and opened up the cap, Results: Driving 350 km at speeds up to 85 mph, no oil mist, no oil use. I will keep you posted. (Unlike some folks)

Sorry, I on my tablet, and cannot get the pictures as attachments. Perseverance paid off
