Exhaust brake and aftermarket headunit related ?

I have been researching on the net to see if anyone has had the issue I am having and well can't find anything. I just installed a double din cd/navi/dvd player in the truck, everything works including the factory backup camera BUT the weird thing is, when I turn on the factory exhaust brake now, the backup camera comes on.........turn the exhaust brake off, back up camera goes off........ so confused. The exhaust brake works as it should and the factory back up camera works as it should when I put the truck in reverse. I checked everything I know to check, wanted to see what the forums thoughts where.
It just seems weird to me because the back up camera and exhaust brake shouldnt have any correlation should it? I emailed the manufacture as recommended on another forum but haven't heard back.

was it a plug-and-play harness or did you have to make your own connections? with a CANbus system, things are so intertwined you may be triggering a voltage change somewhere that is being detected incorrectly. I have used Crutchfield for previous stereo equipment and info, maybe they can help?
