Trans low line pressure

Pickup for my son

After 11 years and 125,000 miles, the brushes finally wore out in my Pacbrake exhaust brake compressor. If I could find brushes I would change them first and see if I can get another 125K out of it.

So, does anyone know where I can order brushes? I have little faith in finding them but I have to ask.

If that doesn't work, how about a replacement compressor that won't break the bank? Pacbrake wants $210 for a replacement so I'm looking to come in under that if I can.

Thanks

The air usage is small so any little 12v compressor would suffice , when mine died I upgraded to a Viair 200psi 100% duty cycle as I figured if I have a compressor I want useable on board air.

Did you contact PacBrake to see if they could help you it??

That said, the Viair compressors are a good deal.

I like the 400 series.

Yes, they only have replacement compressors. I have been looking at the Viair, 130 psi for $100. Works for me.

But I am going to look at the Viair 200psi 100% duty cycle, I too would like to have more air available.

IIRC and FYI -- the PacBrake compressor usually mounted on the engine which is NOT really an ideal place for it as the pulses and vibrations of the mighty CTD will take its eventual toll on it.

Our local Ace Hardware has a selection of generic brushes in the hardware section. Perhaps you can find something close.

FYI this is the 6.7 section.

I believe PB uses a ViAir compressor. Have you tried contacting them about brushes?
