So in Northern California a few days ago my Banks 4" Turbo mounted exhaust was not coming on once in a while. I shot some WD40 in the three ports of the vacuum solenoid and all seem OK for for a couple days.
Now once in a while I am getting a rappid clicking sound when going onto the brake, like the butterfly valve is flapping. So I bought some contact cleaner and cleaned the solenoid again and activated it and shot cleaner thru it.
Did it a couple more times and then seem ok on a test drive to an auto supply to buy a vacuum gauge. I have 25-26 lbs of vacuum and it seem to hold that fine when I turn the engine off.
To add to all of this, we fueled in Laughlin, Nv and on the test drive I noticed fuel pressure at 6 lbs. I shut it down and restarted it again on 6 lbs. Bumped the starter a couple times and got 14. 5 again. Drove back to campground and fuel pressure was slightly higher than normal. I think maybe I got bum fuel in Laughlin, as I thought the truck stumbled once while driving slowly thru the camp ground shortly after fueling.
I am going to purg some fuel into a clear container this morning when it gets light, and take a look at it. I am measuring FP after the filter and have stock carter pump on the frame rail.
Less than 300 miles to go to get to Gold Canyon for the winter and problems. Today was going to 205 miles from Bullhead City to Surprise. Will see!
Any thoughts welcome! Anyone tell me the flattest route from Bullhead City to Phoenix? I was going to go thru Kingman, but know there are some good hill to go down between Bullhead and Kingman.
