I just installed my new bd remote mount inline ex brake this weekend and installed the bd torqloc. Everything seems to be working right I think. My question to anyone running a ex brake when the valve closes on the brake should it cut 100% of the exhaust off. Mine still has a good flow just want to no if thats normal to have a little flow or not.

That sounds normal.

Even with valve closed, there still must be some exhaust flow, otherwise the engine couldn't run.

Enjoy that new exhaust brake!

Thanks: JLandry wish I had bought the ex brake 5 years ago works great now. I just need to change the gearing to 4. 10:1 from 3. 54:1 not enough grunt for the mountains in NC,VA. pulling 10500lbs FW

the bd holds the back pressure to 60 lbs through the entire rpm range giving you the maximum braking power. once you get the 4. 10 in you can get about 200,000 miles between brake jobs, we do. i can take a 44,000 lb cgw down a 8% grade without touching brakes. get a maxbrake controller for safer and better braking on the trailer. i see two things you need to do first get that K&N off and in the trash. and you are set up to hot to run wot. get a pyrometer or you will be walking
