Has anyone adapted an exhaust brake button similar to the 07+ 6.7 trucks to the 5.9? I would like to put it in the blank spot below the hvac controls next to my power rear slider switch.

And what would that switch do for you?
I believe if your 5.9L engine is like my older son's 5.9L before he modify his engine in his truck his factory turbo did not have an exhaust brake. Only the 6.7L trucks are stock with a VGT turbo!

Whoops, my fault for not saying something. I'm eventually gonna put an exhaust brake on it and would like the switch to look like a factory install.

It's super simple to add an EB to a 3rd gen 5.9, but the switches are usually shiftier mounted.

You could possibly find a blank switch to put in that hole but it wouldn't be wired any different. I've never looked for one thou, nor would I recommend it since you'll find many 6.7 owners who want their EB switches like they were on 5.9's.

I did it. I didn't like the "stalk" mounted switch that was dealer installed with my Jacobs brake so I bought the panel and switches for a '07. Unfortunately the changeover wasn't as simple as just installing it. Programming issues made the '07 switch unusable so I ended up installing a rocker switch in the panel between the heated seat switches. It was pretty easy once I got the wiring figured out. Here's a picture of the switch installed and the wiring diagram I used. I subsequently swapped over to a PAC-BRAKE but the switch still works fine. For what it's worth, I rarely turn the exhaust brake off. The '06 computer operates it beautifully.
