Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) exhaust brake trans mission questions

we have an 02 2500 coming in for a trans mission replacement and an exhaust brake installed . does this engine need to have stiffer springs on the exhaust valves ? i recalled something about a toggle switch for lock up?did this apply to the older trucks 94-98 ? or does it apply to 98to 03. brand of a exhaust brake is either a bank or a a bd.

the 24valve engines, 1998. 5 & up come from the factory with the HD valve springs, no need to change. you will need some form of control for the TCC, either a simple manuel switch or a module, depending on dollars & how the customer is. IE: capable of properly operating a manuel switch or if not, going with a control module
