i have a 4" Jandine system with a muffler and resonator. the resonator reduced the drone considerably but I still have some.

Would just placing a exhaust clamp alongthe long straight portion of the exhaust pipe chance the drone? I would place it a bit away from the centerpoint toavoid harmonics.

Anybody tried this?

I just put a 5" straight pipe on mine and have the drone at 2200 RPM. I got some pipe insulation at Menards and put it behind the back seat and used a rubber exhaust hanger and attached it horizontal to the frame about where the muffler would be and it cut the drone down on mine. Still there but not bad.

I've got a 5" FBD exhaust with the muffler on my 02 SBQC. Yep, drone at 21-2200. I have all stock hangers in place, including the trans mount one.

I'm starting to get used to it(around town not noticeably louder than stock), but wouldn't mind knocking the noise down a bit. Not sure if just an exhaust clamp would help, but people have used multiple clamps and bits of metal to change the resonance. I guess I'll just have to experiment. Other than this, I love this exhaust. My fuel mileage went up about 1. 5mpg and my EGTs are a couple hundred lower at close to WOT.

I know the drone feeling, gets old. I just put a second muffler in mine about the location of the OEM resonator.
