has anybody done any tests with a muffler elimination kit in place, from genos garage. how does it compare to a stock system, or a larger complete exhaust replacement set up? or should i just spend the money for a complete system?

if you're just going to put in the straight pipe to replace the stock muffler, about the only thing you're going to get on a stock truck is a bit more noise. . maybe some lower egt's, but, I don't think that's much of an issue at the moment for you. There's more threads on this subject that will give you a bit more insight. If I had the bux, I'd go for a full 4 inch system, with a free flow muffler (just because of the noise factor in town). . but the bux haven't arrived yet. :--)

Just ..

put on a Jardine four inch system, turbo back. Do not mess with anything less than a full system. The jardine has exceded my expectations. Some power gain and lower noise level at highway speeds. Excellent fit, no hassles at all.
