Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Exhaust Leak

Guys one of my buddies has a truck leaking exhaust around his pyro.



The leak is between the tapped metal and the brass 1/4npt pyro fitting.



Also the tapped metal is steel not cast and is probably 1/4-3/8" wall thickness.



I guess when the guy tapped it he ran the tap to deep.



Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

He may have to weld a threaded bushing in place of the threaded hole.
