Couple of questions.
What are the thoughts on use of high heat ceramic coatings on the exhaust manifold and turbo? I had a local outfit ceramic coat my exhaust manifold and turbo when I rebuilt my motor (1800 degree rating). My intent was to make them pretty but use a coating that would hold up to the high heat. The ceramic coating has held up great. However, I doubt the ceramic coating provides any cooling effect in the engine compartment, but I could be wrong.
I note that the TPP blanket does not appear to have an access point for my EGT probe and the PTP blanket, while it seems to have an access point, it appears to be located on the side of the manifold. My probe is currently located on the top of the manifold. I guess I could plug the current location and redrill a new access consistent with the PTP blanket location.
Thoughts?
