Looking at replacing stock exhaust manifold to avoid the cracking problem. Any recommendations on best brand to replace stock manifold? I've looked at ATS and BD info. Not sure if one is better than the other, or if there is another one out there that is better. Don

That looks mean Forrest. :D How much did it drop the EGTs?

I just put a ceramic coated ATS on my '99, and drilled out the divider in the turbo with a 3/4" drill bit to dump all 6 jugs. Would like to get a PacBrake PRXB Max Flow brake, now. :D

the data-logs from initial testing are posted in the stainless header thread... I think Mike logged 150-200* drop from the factory CR manifold to the stainless CR manifold.

I run the Smarty TNT on level 9, I'm running 38psi boost and rarely see over 1300*

only time I'll see over 1300* is if I'm really in it to win it racing someone. but standing on it from 55-60 and going WOT up to 90 passing someone, it'll just touch 1300* :)

I'm not running the Turbonetics anymore, I've got my old faithful sps62 that I've had on 3 different trucks for a combined 80k miles or so! :)

I love this combo... it makes great power, I'm not worried about the head gaset, and I don't worry about the EGT's, and there's less underhood clutter, less cost, and quicker turbo response than twins :)

Wow, that is impressive. :D

I never did check to see what the EGTs did (stocker wasn't tapped for the thermocouple) when I swapped the manifolds, but it did drop the peak boost by 5psi, like the other ATS did. Since I don't have money for a clutch, I haven't tapped the pump wire yet, but so far the EGTs haven't been over 950*. I'll most likely need to swap turbos when the wire gets tapped. If I can't sell the HTB2 64/14 off of the '97, I suppose I'll send it back to HTT and have it converted to a 62/12 or the SS 13 housing and polished compressor cover. :D

Mileage on the '99 sucks right now, but the fan clutch needs to be replaced. Won't disengage. We'll see if that is enough to bring it back up to be where it should.

since I do a lot of porting on manifolds/turbo's/heads, I will agree that they are all similar (omitting headers). However, the ATS has a superior senter section design. I would lean towards one of those.

I know this...

After the recent failure of my manifold and the poor customer service I recieved since,I will NEVER place another ATS part on my truck again... ... ... Andy

Never any issues with mine. Never had the problem with the hardware working loose, either. After the initial retorque from a few heat/cool cycles, they've stayed tight. :D No cracks yet.
