Hey guys where do you get the 180 thermostat

I am thinking about trading in my EZ for an Edge Comp or DDII's. If I got the comp and did not hook up the wire until the warranty ran out (a while yet) would I gain anything or is the DDII's the best way to go. I eventually want both but money is an issue
 
A comp with out the pump wire hooked up is just an EZ. Get the injectors and see how you like that power. Make sure you have gauges and watch that transmission.

I finally figured out how to put in my signature. As you can see I spent all my money on upgrades to let me get the power, now I am just trying to see where to go next. Sell EZ and put in comp (probably less after selling EZ) or go to injectors. Decisions decisions
 
Injectors first for me

I had just the EZ, added III's, BIG DIFFERENCE.



If you are going to leave the wire off, go with the injectors.

I tell you it's enough to drive you NUTS! I bought a 01 and a half. As soon as I got it , I got on the tdr asking what I could do to pep it up etc like we all do. Boy, all anyone said was buy the EZ, it's the only way to go. Now,,,, Oh, no, you should do this or that but not the EZ. Man, am I getting sick of all this CRUD! I'm happy with the EZ, I pull a 12,000 diesel pilot house boat, and it does fine with just the EZ. If you're going to drag race, get a race car, for Gods sake. These are TRUCKS!!!
 
Wolfgang... will your transmission mods. handle the increased power of the larger injectors ??? Excuse the ignorance, I'm not an auto guy. If so, go with the stage 2 or 3 injectors. You can always piggyback another fueling box, such as the TST PM3 or Blue Chip to the Edge ez at a later date.

I hear ya man. I'm still waiting on my truck, but I put all my mods into my 4x4s. I'd like the edge ez, gauges, and a k&n for my rig but that's about it and I think i'll be very happy. Plus all the jargon around here is givin me fits. I spend a lot of time over on Pirates of the Rubicon and I'm sure that language would be tough on a newbie too. I need a 101 for what this and that means!!!

Hemi, this is known as the flavor of the month club. I actually think it is great, you can get boxes and stuff at HUGE discounts that are only a couple months old. :D Some of these guys are into seeing how far their trucks can go, it is good for all of us because they tear stuff up at an astronomical rate, creating products to hold up gives us all better parts.



It pays to buy what suits you, not the flavor of the month. Do the research, buy what is right for you and BEWARE!



EDIT: I vote for some injectors! 2's would be about right, but be sure to call DTT or your installer to get the transmission set up correctly for the added power. You can hurt it if it is not set up right.

I would vote for the comp box before the Stage 2 injectors. I did the DD TT box w/ Bullydog Stage 2 injectors, due to non controlable smoke factor. I went back to 275RV injectors to control smoke for a while. Now I have nice power & almost zero smoke. I do miss the punch of the Stage 2 injectors though.

Listening to all this talk is getting me very nervous. If the CIA, or NASA hears about whats going on with these trucks and the POWER they're putting out,sooner or later, they are going to come and confiscate them. Then they'll put out that" they're the ones who got enough power out of them to launch the Hubble, or power Mr. SUPER tank and where will we be then??
