4WD issue?

Drivers door worst, but passenger side both doors also going bad, squeak like crazy no matter what grease I put on, can't compensate for bearing starting to seize up. Anyway, can pin and bearing be replaced easily? Or just replace the entire hinge. Will it be covered on Maxcare warranty??

Mine squeak but no rust that I can see. I use wd40 silicone and it goes away until the next heavy rain. Today in Sacramento is by far the most rain I have ever seen and no end in sight for another 24 hrs.
It will need a squirt soon

I guess it's not a bearing, just a metal sleeve over the post. Who knows the proper engineering description of this mechanism?

On my other 3 doors, teflon lube sprayed between post/roller works great but on the drivers door it looks seized up, doesnt rotate on the post at all.

On my 2015 it squeaked and popped for a while. Took it in and maxcare covered it with color matched paint at the body shop.

I use light dab of white lithium grease on all door hinges and latches, the hood catch and latch, and storage bin/tool chest hinges and latches. Too much catches grime, dust, and crap that hinges and lathes are. I like dry silicon on all the door seal rubber. I used to use SGL2 on my hinges/latches. and worked fine too in the past. I pretty much check out everything monthly, about 30 minutes per vehicle, nose to tail.

I'd use some WD40 to clean that all up, use an old tooth brush, you need to move the door a little in so you can clean the full open position. Once all clean, I use blue paper towels to wipe dry, then I have white lithium grease in a spray can and a small jar I can apply with long wooden swabs.
