I use light dab of white lithium grease on all door hinges and latches, the hood catch and latch, and storage bin/tool chest hinges and latches. Too much catches grime, dust, and crap that hinges and lathes are. I like dry silicon on all the door seal rubber. I used to use SGL2 on my hinges/latches. and worked fine too in the past. I pretty much check out everything monthly, about 30 minutes per vehicle, nose to tail.
I'd use some WD40 to clean that all up, use an old tooth brush, you need to move the door a little in so you can clean the full open position. Once all clean, I use blue paper towels to wipe dry, then I have white lithium grease in a spray can and a small jar I can apply with long wooden swabs.
