Diesel Drags At Masondixon Dragway Oct. 17

Possible Pittsburgh/SW Pa Truck Show???

Mike, it's less than an hour and a half drive. PA Turnpike to Route 15 (Gettysburg Pike), then down a few miles. I plan on rolling out of here Sat morning about 6:30, getting out there by 8. You're welcome to join me; I'm only going on Saturday.

I know Wannadiesel (Dave) over on DTR, who lives in Newtown Square, and MD500E (Kevin) who lives in Paoli are all going.

Just let me know.

Well I have checked the motels we use at work on the Carlisle Pike and they have all echoed the full up due to Hershey comment Doug has gotten near his place. Tommorrow I will look here in York(I know its a bit of a PIA due to the 30 minute ride)and try and secuse a place here. I am at a loss for what we can do next,I moved this so we could stay away from Fall Carlisle and we get tied up with Hershey.

Well on to a update and some answers for those who have PM'd/emailed me with concerns on the class changes.

First I'd like to welcome "Michigan Performance Diesel" to our show and thank Rob for contributing. Also we will have a set of portable platform scales to weigh trucks for owners if they wish(total weight, front to rear bias and all four corners) . TDR Member Lnwing is bringing them and will man them Saturday and only has asked for a donation to me made to MS for his help.

Now on to the answers... .

**ICEMAN**...

We are working on a correction factor to use to try and level the stock class. We will have something in place for the show as I understand the older rides can not compete with the newer rides. Also,I'd like to add a class or two more, but, remember we work within the confines of our budget and adding a extra Modified class this year will not fit. Plus,to try and get a owner to compete with a single charger ride/no drugs against a drug equipped truck/single charger probably won't happen. Certainly you wouldn't want to run your truck against a Nitrous ride and try and compete with him,all I am trying to do is keep the "bottle babies" in one class as we have done in the past.

MD500E...

Now why would you even think that,LOL :D :D . You'll have to tell Tom he may be able to sway the judge if the Blue truck finds it way to my house,LOL.

Dockboy...

Since I don't have a class for "Alien" powered trucks I am certain I can find room on the Unlimited class for you. BTW,I did tell Diesel Dave to bring the tow vehicle the other day as it may be needed and I am not saying for who,LOL. One other note,I can not get ahold of Nate. I have called a number of times and left 2 messages and no return calls.

Antrim93. .

No you will not be the "only" single charger truck in the competition class. There are a few 24 valvers sneeking around with the P-Pump conversion and I have heard a few others who are supposed who have their conversion trucks there. You have to remember, not only do you have the P-Pump but a charger which is not stock to your truck, plus the pump is modified.

I did not make the changes to upset anyone, they were made to try and consider the owners who are not twins equipped. It was also done to try and allow the Ford/Chevy/GMC owners to be more competitive which I hope will draw more trucks to compete. I had recieved numerous emails from them citing the Dodges ability to dominate, let alone them compete with twins. We all know here that a good set of twins is worth at least 100hp over a single charger truck,so it was something that needed to be done. I am hoping it will make more owners decide to roll who otherwise wouldn't have due to the feeling of not being able to compete... ... ... ... ... . Andy

Maybe we can all meet, eat, and roll together!!

MODIFIED-This class is limited to a SINGLE turbo with NO PUMP CONVERSIONS(example:A 24 Valve single turbo truck with a P-Pump installed)and on #2 ONLY. The use of over the counter fuel additives is permitted but NO DRUGS(this includes meth injection and water misters). Aftermarket chargers, fueling boxes, injectors and pusher pumps are all legal. Owners who run single chargers and use drugs may compete as long as their bottle has been disconnected or removed, these owners will be asked to show they did this when they enter the dyno room.

I rest my point. If my truck was a 94-98 I could run in this class... . I do have a different charger (stock on 94-98) but it is legal and also nothing says I cant mod the pump... I mean come on I just have a 12 valve p-pumped 205,000 mile first gen... . what I'm I gonna do in the competition class ... ...

I will say no more. I will go with the rules that are established. But I just wanted to make a point...

Rick. .

I'll ask a few things of you and await your answers as I am curious to what you consider the problem here. IF I let you spin in modified and a owner would show up at the show with a 24 valve ride single charger,p-pumped of course, explain to me what the difference between him and you would be?. None the way I see it, as neither truck is in the stock pump configuration being a 24 valve has a VP44 and yours the VE from the factory. I do get your point on the charger, but, thats not where the problem arises at. So,with your definition,do I let a 12 valve single charger in who has one of the 12 cylinder pulling pumps on it in modified?. Just Curious??.

So with that I'll ask those who showed at any of the first 3 Fall Brawl shows this question... .

Did I break this down to a point where we could allow other owners to spin or did I miss the boat and create confusion instead?. If I did create confusion, how would you have broken the classes down to try and level the playing field for all to come and enjoy themselves?. Please think these questions thru and either post, email or pm the answers to me. Anyone have a Motrin???. Thanks... Andy

Class??? You are in the nursery. We're going to make that PSD wear a diaper to keep the oil off the dyno room floor. :--) :-laf :D J/K

From a guy who has listened to Hammers critizism of shows I was involved in, I am really enjoying this!!!! :-laf

That said, I thought the Fall Brawls I have attended went smoothly, and I didn't hear any complaining about classes.

THAT said, its a freaking Dyno run party, not as important or real as sled pulling, anyway, so lets eat!!! Oo.

kristy is bringing her world famouse brownies...

Well, I was also planning on bringing MY world-famous brownies- so, we'll have a little "brownie competition" as well!

And Mike (Hoot), and Kevin (MD500E), we could always meet to eat at the Exton Diner on Route 100, since that is on the way to the turnpike entrance.

Hey Lloyd...

How about this instead...

We will do like NHRA does to their professional teams who create an oil down, except instead of a fine and point loss we will deduct 400hp from Greg's Ford's total number. :D :D :D :D ... ... ... ..... Andy
