Just Installed fass 095 titanium pump yesterday on my 04 2500. Also Installed the draw straw. Went to fill up tank after Install and noticed pump making a chugging sound. Not very loud. not sure if this is how It is supposed to sound? Called fass tech support told me It could be air and could possibly take up to 1 day for air to escape system. they also told me to re-prime system. I did, now its making a fast chugging noise. not sure what else to check. Any suggestions? also fuel pressure is running at 17psi not really fluctuating much psi here, psi there.

Mine has never made a sound like that, just a gentle whirring.
I don't know what they mean by "priming". It primes itself every time you start the truck.

that is what I thought because fuel is constantly moving. But I just re primed by just taking off line off of CP3. Every time I mess with filters or crack lines and fire it up the noise Is either faster or slower.

You don't have to crack lines to bleed air out of a common rail system. Just cycle the key to run the pump and it will purge any air out.

that's what I figured but the guys at fass told me to try that, but its doing same thing. Could cold weather be affecting it? It was about -5 last night.

Ended up taking it in. When I installed draw straw, I left about a 1/4" under straw. When I filled up that day somehow the bottom got closer to straw and wasn't sucking right. Cut the tub and the noise went away. Then there was another noise kind of sounding like a quacking duck. Ended up the spring on return side was faulty. Changed spring. Everything is good for now. Thanks for your help.

Hey guys, I have been running pump and what a nightmare! When I got the truck back they had put a new spring and ball into pump. Spring and ball was from and airdog pump. I ran it like that for a few days and then my fuel gauge went to zero. Thinking it was was sending unit, I called glowshift and they sent me a new one. Before I got the new sending unit, I went out to fire up the truck and didn't notice the pump kick on, but it fired right up. So I start looking around and the fuse was blown. I changed filters thinking it got waxed up (cold temps out here) changed fuse, was running fine for one day then blew fuse again. Took it to the guy who changed spring and ball. Fass sent him new spring and ball after he used one from his airdog. He Installed it, everything seemed fine until the truck warms up and It starts with that chugging noise again. Im lost on this and so is fass. Im just going to run it I guess

there's NOTHING gently wierring sound about the Fass 95 on my truck, this thing is so frealin loud,,i can hear it inside the truck,,and it's a megacab,,,so the pump is way back there,,LOL...not impressed with Fass,,,the old filters are not even of better quality than the stock one,,early buyer got stuck with crappy filtration and Fass is doing NOTHING about it,,

Does it have the updated spring kit in it?

i doubt it,,it's the way it came back in 2008 i believe,,VERY noisy,,and what i dont like the worse,,is the wirring set-up we we're given back then,,,having the pump wired directly into the fuse box,,,where it's hot until you open the door,,then it shuts the pump off,,in other words,,,shut the truck off,,,pump still runs until you open the doors,,,try and listen to the radio only,,pump runs too,,,real fun,,,so why couldn't Fass simply plug into the existing wirring at the tank fittings,,,and why couldn't we just connect to the stock supply line,,instead of runningall the way to the front with a new line that BYPASSES the stock filter,,,considering the stock filter is WAY better than what Fass put on the 95's back then,,,like i said,,,i wont be buying Fass stuff EVER again,,,same for anybody i talk to,,,
