FASS install on SB, QC Pics requested.

Sorry about all the FASS questions/posts guys. I am pretty sure I'm gonna go with the 95gph FASS1 system. I have a Short bed Quad Cab and have heard of mounting problems.



Where are u guys with similar trucks mounting the system? Also if any one has pic or could snap a few of your mounting location/set up It would be greatly appreciated.



Also my truck is stock other than an EZ and a Scotty II. Only other mod I ever plan is a bigger exhaust. Will the 95gph model work?

Don't have my camera with me now but I can tell you that it sticks down and is noticeable. There are no real problems other than that to speak of. The bracket allows the unit to shake but I don't really see any problems with that at this point. I suppose one could stiffen it up easily if they choose to. I suggest using all swivel fittings for ease of removal in the event you have a need to. Have not had any problems with anything hitting it. The unit is very stout anyway. I suppose an Off roader may want to make a skid plate. Most will not notice it sticking down. It really does not bother me. Figured I would chime in as I had the same fears as most do but going on two years have cured my fears. I would suggest upgrading the wiring and at the very least locate the fuse under the hood and not back by the FASS. I spent an hour upgrading my wiring to 14 gauge from the 18 gauge it was supplied with after discovering the wiring had serious signs of overheating. 12 Volts does not travel well, larger wiring can only help. I have the crimp tool and access to the connectors so no big deal. Feel free to PM me if you need some help in that department. As for the fuel tank module, only time will tell if yours is up to it. If it is not you probably found the source of your LP troubles anyway. Sorry for being off topic. I will try and post you a pic tomorrow.

The 95GPH model is all most anyone needs! You may even find yourself changing the spring to lower the pressure. I did.

Forgot to mention that my truck bed is actually sitting on 1/2" spacers for clearance to my homemade fuel module with its big ole lines. So the amount that the unit sticks down is slightly exagerated. You get the picture. Damn looking at those pics shows how bad the rust can be out here in the Salt Belt :{ That is my tax money at work

How is it that Mine is so far up that you cannot possibly see it?? You have to Physicly get under the fender to look UP inside to see it.

I took the picture from a really low angle. I was actually almost on the ground. Wanted to get a worst case shot just in case a midget was curious how it looked :-laf From where I normally stand I can't see that much, of course the further you are away the easier it is to see. Is yours a Quad cab short bed. I have the thing whithin an inch of the truck bed

I only mounted a carter on my frame, and I used a small piece of floor mat (from the plant where I work) in between the pump mount and the frame. It makes a very nice vibration insulator. I'm not stating there is an issue with the FASS as I have no idea, but thought I would share just in case.
