Now that is a modern idea that I really would like to have . Takes almost 10 miles on the highway for my truck to think about heat without the winter cover on. About 8 with. All my Dodge’s and Ram’s have been a bit cold blooded with this 13 being the worst. It’s crazy how you can tell when the thermostat opens and closes. When it’s closed I have to back off the heat setting 2-3 clicks. When it opens I have to tase that same2-3 clicks. In order to stay comfortable. Unless outside is below 20 then just leave it on max. At night inside the cab will never get hot just warm. The heater core is the same size as the standard cab 12 I use to own. Smaller cab and a 205 degree stat made a huge difference in comfort levels. The 13’s cab is way larger and they have a 195 degree stat in the engine and the double radiator system. Like I said warm at best on a cold night.

Thanks for posting this info, I'm always looking for Tech info like this.
Can you please post a link to where this info can be found?

The heater is located in the heater box downstream of the heater core. It consists of three 400W resistors, which translates to 100 amps at 12 volts.

Operation is automatic, based upon the following conditions being met:
-Engine must be running at 700RPM or greater
-Outside temp is below 68F
-Coolant temp is below 158F
-Battery voltage must not fall below 12.6

Just for clarification, are you saying this is standard on Gen4 trucks? All trim levels?
