Anyone have trouble with their fasten seat belts light coming on while driving down the road with the seat belt fastened?

Sometimes when I shift my weight in the seat, the light comes on. The light will stay on for 5 sec to 20 sec.

I looked at the connector under the seat, on the floorboard it seems okay.

It seems like the problem is in the seat belt latch.

Thanks.

I had the same problem with my '99 quad cab. I took it to the dealer in while i was stationed at Ellsworth AFB, SD, and all they could do was reset the computer and tell me to come back in as soon as it came back on again. They didn't tell me anything that could be causing it.

I believe there is a switch in the buckle itself, it's probably loose or just plain shot. If you don't care about having it work at all, you could (in theory) crimp the wires together so it appears to be buckled all the time.

Had the same problem with my '99 QC. Found a white connector under the drivers seat that wasn't properly sealed or seated. Put some of the white di-electric grease on it and snapped it back together. Haven't had a problem in over 2 years.
