Baseball Hotdogs and Apple pie

Package Thief Revenge

It was about a confederate civil war gurilla leader. Col Mosbey I think his name was. You just cant imagine how depressed I was when I found out the south lost the war.

The great gildersleeve
Mike Hammer (with darren mcgavin)
The life of riley

Dork, I am:rolleyes::p Space Ghost - coast to coast. Weird animation series...

Now I remember...That was a good show...based on some true stories about Major John Singleton Mosby...know the feeling...Didn't get much replay over the years so foggy brain cell retention from long ago.
When I read Gray Ghost all I could think of was the B-52E on Anderson AFB on Guam that was permanently parked due to being worn out and broken backed. We uh, requisitioned some pieces-parts from it when supply couldn't get us certain parts fast enough. It was pretty much well picked over by the time I got to Guam, but there were always some hard to get pieces-parts still available if you wanted to risk the critters and sharp edges. That was one of the spookiest and eerie aircraft I ever crawled through; hot, muggy, creaking in the wind, parked far away at the end of Nancy or Sierra row...but also the coolest. Gotta do whatcha gotta do back then to support ~200+/- busy buffs 'round the clock.

OK, we've been reminiscing about the past in several threads lately, so I thought I'd throw this topic out there. What were your favorite TV shows as a kid?

Here's my list growing up in the '70's and 80's

Emergency
The Fall Guy
The Dukes of Hazzard
MASH
Hardcastle and McCormick
CHIPS

Add (well, when we were allowed to turn the TV on or watch what the parental units watched):
Hogan's Heros
Three Stooges
The Rifleman
Star Trek
Knight Rider
Streets of San Francisco
Laverne and Shirley
Mod Squad
Mission Impossible
The FBI
Dragnet
Wiseguy

And we can't leave out Saturday morning cartoons: Bugs Bunny, Road Runner, Mighty Mouse, Daffy Duck, Tom and Jerry, Pink Panther, and all the others from Loony Tunes, Merrie Melodies, Fritz Feleng, Hanna Barbera, etc.

A family friend was a children's librarian; she brought many boxes of library discards for us to read. I read pretty much all of them; more than once. Definitely spent more time reading than veg'ing.

Now, for *real* kiddie shows, who remembers 'Uncle Gus', and 'Romper Room'?

I can't believe it took 4 pages of "favs" before the Stooges were mentioned!

I cant believe I forgot about Gilligans Island!
How about Fantasy Island?
Totally forgot about Romper Room but I was a little guy back then.
Captain Kangaroo, Mr. Rogers anyone?
Incredible Hulk

Rat Patrol
Star Trek (Trouble with Tribbles remains my favorite)
Johnny Quest (anybody remember that one?)
WRESTLING on Saturday afternoons!!!!
Hart to Hart
Carol Burnett (I still watch the video of Tim and Harvey doing the Dentist sketch at least once a week, it's claimed that Harvey Korman wet himself doing that one)
Mission Impossible
Kolchak : The Night Stalker (Darrin McGavin was pretty good in that one)

Dr. Who - 4th Dr...
Star Trek
Yeah, Mr. Rogers, Tom and Jerry, and learned to drive from Dukes of Hazard... Right Turn Clyde.

After watching an episode of Rat Patrol my cousins and I would take our Uncle's CJ-3 out on the trails and beat the crap out of it....

Some of these have already been mentioned, but hopefully there are a few more that might bring back some fond memories for some of you...

Taxi
Get Smart
Barney Miller
Speed Buggy
Hogan's Heroes
The Muppet Show
The Magic Garden
ZOOM
WKRP in Cincinnati
The Six Million Dollar Man
The Fall Guy
CHiPs
Starsky and Hutch
Gilligan's Island
Moonlighting
Kung Fu
I Dream of Jeannie
Magnum, P.I.
Welcome Back, Kotter
Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom
The Greatest American Hero
Simon & Simon
Quantum Leap
The Equalizer
Remington Steele
Wiseguy
The A-Team
The Dukes of Hazzard
Miami Vice
Hee Haw (RIP Roy Clark....)

And do the Schoolhouse Rock segments count?

There was many of my likes above, add TJ Hooker (I didn’t see it).
I don’t think anyone mentioned Saturday Night Live, or the wacky Uncle Floyd show, Soupy Sales, or the Honeymooners.
Wilson beat me to it, but there was a definite period where I just HAD to watch WWF on Saturday mornings. It was great, before Hulkamania and the gamification.
Summer vacation days as a kid just didn’t seem to begin until after The Price Is Right. I dunno why, but I guess I just loved to see the cars and the occasional dirt bike pop up, as well as the other neat things.
