WRESTLING on Saturday afternoons!!!!

Mike, If you do that one I MUST add Women's Roller Derby! And for the longest time I thought sugar and spice and everything nice...soft and tender... until I was introduced to the women's derby. Now I don't go outside in the dark by myself...:eek:o_O:D

For those who think the WWF was fake, I reccomend searching up Iron Shiek’s life story documentary on I tunes, and I really did have a real life public encounter with the “Macho Man” Randy Savage- Yup he had car trouble.

I also remember watching The Lawrence Welk Show, I Love Lucy, The Andy Griffith Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show and a bunch of game shows like Password, Family Feud (with Richard Dawson), and Hollywood Squares when I went to visit my Grandparents as a kid.

Did anyone mention these shows yet?
Batman
The Addams Family
The Munsters
Mister Ed
F-Troop
McHale's Navy
Green Acres
The Mod Squad
The Gong Show
The Twilight Zone
The Saint
Kojak

I can't find the Lawrence Welk Show on TV anymore. But, as recently as when our oldest daughter was young, we would watch the reruns on PBS Saturday evenings at 7:00.

OK get some popcorn and a beverage, this is gonna take a minute to explain and lots of great old shows mentioned and mine was gonna be Sky King, no clue why.

As a little guy watching B&W from the Cleveland market we had Capt. Penny, AKA Ron Penfound who had an afternoon kids show. One of his regular guests was Jungle Larry and Safari Jane. They did safaris in Africa and had a wild animal park at Cedar Point called Safari Island. CP was near Toledo and one of the biggest attractions on the shore of Lake Erie it is a monster amusement park, roller coaster destination.

OK lets get back to the story.

Parents spent the big bucks and we went to Cedar Point, great day, food, rides and souvenirs.

At the west end (ish) was Safari Island Jungle, Larrys mini zoo attraction. We walked down the fence and gazed in awe of the "wild animals".

But wait, WHO is that on the other side of the fence............yes kids, it's Jungle Larry the afternoon show kids hero of Africa and wild animal handler, etc.

He has the safari shirt, pants and his trademark safari hat on and what, he's looking down and me and yes, he's going to speak!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, hello G A R Y, glad you could visit us at Safari Island! The rest of the conversation is lost to the cosmos.

Jungle Larry SAID MY NAME!

I don't think my feet touched the ground the rest of the day, I was living proof that he could see thru the B&W TV and see me watching him on TV.

Well, burst my bubble we now all know that you fortunatley can't see whats on the other side of the TV (I hope) but how did that little kids hero know my name?

Remember the souvenir that I mentioned? It was a kids sailor hat with wait for it, my name embroidered on the rim. He did that to thousands of kids.

Someone needs to turn the rabbit ears a little bit.
