Looking for some advice on the best place to hook a BD Torqloc wires to the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) (presumable white w/orange tracer) and the overdrive switch wire (presumable Orange w/white)
When I installed my Torqloc I tapped into my wires at the harness on the firewall that runs across the top of the engine. From there I ran wires back over to the drivers side and connected them to a 4 terminal junction plate. Then connected the necessary wires from the BD Torqloc. Looked very clean and not really noticeable. Have since removed the Torqloc and is now sitting on my bench.
I was able to find the VSS (White w/orange tracer) in the top of the two wire bundles but couldn't find the overdrive switch (orange w/white) I did find a couple orange w/blacks but figured that wouldn't do me any good What wire color did you end up connecting? Also, why did you take yours out.
Look at BD's website/instruction manual, they are usually VERY detailed. If I can recall, it's all I used when I installed mine. If still confused, call them. They are great to deal with.
Called BD Friday and didn't get a return call. I was going to hook up Sunday so if anyone can verify the correct wire or a substitute in that harness I would appreciate it.
