My 06, an automatic, the backup lights work sometimes. If I shift from P to L and back again, then into R they come on. If just going from D to R and back, like when plowing, they don't come on. I am told by dealer that the shifter cable under dash needs adjustment. Is this something I can do? I look in service manual and I find no information... . unless you have a manual transmission, then they tell you how to replace switch on transmission. What cable? Where?
