i have a 92/93 dodge 3500 dually and i need help i want to put stacks on 5in but when we crawled under we have to cut some of the bed frame off to get it close to the bed is it good to cut it it or do we have to reinforse the bed rail Oo.

I have done about 20 sets off stacks on various trucks and have had to cut the same piece. I have not had any problems in doing so nor have I had anybody complain about any issues. There is alot of support up there between that cross piece and the fact that the bed head board are connected there. I would say that the bed head board will provide plenty of strength as long as you don't plan on loading the bed to the max. Good luck would love to see some pics when done.

One thing I have noticed (I'm new to first gens) is that they have a LOT beefier boxes than the 2nd and 3rd gen trucks. My 2008 box would dent if you even looked at it the wrong way ;) I've been throwing lumber around in the bare bed on this 93 and its holding up way better than the 08 did with a bed liner.
