Hillsboro Endura trailer

I decided to change from my goose adapter to the fithwheel hitch at the time of purchase the rv dealer saw that i had the goose already in the truck and talked me into putting a adapter on my fiver and i went for it after seven months of crawling into the bed to hook and unhook i went and had them put the fiver hitch in, the only problem is the jerk that installed it put only half the bolt's in the bracket's, the wife picked up the truck and brought it by and when i looked at the install i called and inquired about the left out bolt''s, he said that all he ever put in was one and that was good enough, I don't know about you guy's but if the hole is there and lined up im gona put a bolt in it. sorry for the long post I just could not belive this guy wrks and installs these hitches everyday. I believe it, Harv. Off the subject a bit, my neighbor has a Ford and he had a hitch installed by a dealer last fall. He started out on a trip and none of his trailer lights or the brake controller worked. We looked under the truck and every single connection was corroded nearly in half, no protection against salt or moisture at all where they tapped into the wiring. You would think an outfit in the northeast would take corrosion into account.

That's what im talking about!

Where do these guy's get off doing shoty work on these truck's you can't even get quality from a dealer then there something wrong with that picture. I intended on pitting that hitch in myself but the dealer wanted it to be installed by a pro. :-laf :-laf Harv

I had gooseneck hitch put in my old gas Ford that I used to have. I stayed and watched him put it in. It was one of those rare occasions that I farm something out.

Through the years I have learned to stay away from people who use the term "good enough". I worked for a guy once that kept telling me what I had already done was "good enough" even though it wasn't right, I quit after 1 week. It is sad, but this seems to be the prevalent attitute in this country now. Not for me, if I can't get done the best I don't want it, be cause good enough IS'NT!

That is why I do most of my work myself.

Fireman,

You are correct about the term "good enough". However, some of the blame falls on we consumers for accepting this attitude in our vendors. We can also take some blame for taking the low bid and putting better suppliers and services out of business. You certainly don't always get what you pay for, but it stands to reason that it takes longer and costs more to provide quality. We should make it perfectly clear what we expect from the people that we do business with and that we will not accept work that is below par.
