I contacted them on the universal twin electric set up. They told me it would work as long as I did not do extreme towing.
E-Mail them off there website, they will let you know for what your driving conditions are.

I swithed one of my old Chevy Monza Gassers over to an electric fan several years ago. One morning I went out, started it up, went back inside to let it warm up.

when I came back outside I found the water temp gauge had gone around about 4 times the engine was so hot. the electro thermostat had failed and the fan never came on.

Needless to say, the engine only made it about 10 miles and it through a rod through the oil pan. (the best part was what happened to the guy's windshild who was tailgating me, something he will never forget)

I saved a couple dollars on that fan, but your Cummins would cost over 4K to replace!

Luckly I had a fresh 231cid Turbo V-6, 4-brl, (first turbo motor that lead to the Grand national) ready to drop in. Thinking back, I was enjoying smoking the Furds back then too!, but then it was the 5. 0 Rust tangs I was smoking.

I had the same thing happen on a Chevy gasser I had an electric fan on. Although it didn't get too hot, and I got in th truck before the temp went over 260.

This is a very serious concern I have about putting an eletric fan on the beast.

I guess you get what you pay for. I have not heard of anybody having problems with the Horton. Except in the pocket book!!!!

Are you wanting to ADD an electric fan?, or replace the stock engine driven fan entirely with an electric?. If you are wanting to add a fan, i dont know where you could fit one in, i thought of doing it myself to help in the real hot summer months but everything is so tight, i dont think you could fit a fan big enough to be worthwhile. And as far as replacing the Engine driven fan, that would not be worth it. As mentioned above, thats a VERY expensive engine to risk blowing because of a fan or T-Stat failure. If anything, i would go with the Horton setup. Really expensive, but will definatley help with engine cooling and A/C.
