Any Pointers for Prodigy Install

Towing with Edge or other boxes

Any suggestions or sights to see? Be in Pensacola over Memorial Day, then down to Tampa area, back up Atlantic side to Daytona, then back to Texas. Pulling a selfcontained 5th wheel.

The Navy has a real nice FREE air museum on base, Navel Air Station Pensacola. Also The Blue Angles do a practice Air Show every Tuesday and Wednesday morning @ 8:30 AM, also free. If you don't have a DOD sticker and military ID allow plenty of time for Security Check at the Gate.

When in the Tampa area go to Madiera beach and Johns pass. A nice place to spend a day. Good food and a nice small boardwalk. Jim

If you are driving up a1a along the coast, just about 20 mi south of Melbourne there is a State Museum featuring sunken treasure. Ponce De Leon Lighthouse and St Augistine Lighthouse have some of the best displays of lighthouse history in the country. (and you can climb the 238 stairs to the top) Blue Springs and Ponce De Leon Springs are good family parks to get away for a day and swim and see Manatees (BLue Springs) If you have a CTD full of $$$$$ there is the Richard Petty Driving Experiance over by the "House of Mouse" just south of Orlando. And the list is endless but I have to go to bed. Oh yes there is Cape Canaveral, take the behind the scenes tour, takes you more places than the standard tour. Other than the Lighthouses, St. parks, and Museums, that should put your wallet into cardiac arrest. Have a great time, drive safe and honk as you go past Patrick AFB, I should be in the Fam Camp in my new 5er by then. Dave :D

If you have never seen some of the springs of central Florida, Man they are cool

Peacock state park in Luraville, Manatee state park, You got Morrison on your way as you go past Ponce de leon.

Go tubing on the crystal clear Ichetucknee or paddle down the Sante Fe river and check out the springs

Crystal River is cool to see, wont be too many Manatees there in the summer but there will be a couple.

Whatever you do DONT GO SEE MICKEY!!!!!!!!!

Just things we can drive by and stop to see, like the manatees and springs mentioned by jponder. Stuff only locals know about :) I'm taking notes and checking the maps. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

MOTE MARINE ON THE SOUTH END OF LONGBOAT KEY. IT A REHAB PLACE FRO SEA LIFE. IT WOULD TAKE ABOUT AN HOUR OR TWO TO WALK THRU. ALSO IT WOULD ALOW FOR YOU TO DRIVE DOWN THE BEACH FROM ANNA MARIA ISLAND TO SOUTH LONG BOAT KEY.

ON SOUTH ANNA MARIA ISLAND THERE IS A SPOT TO HAVE A PICNIC AND WATCH THE BOAT COME THRU LONG BOAT PASS. ALSO LOTS OF GOOD FISHING IN THE SAME SPOT.

I AGREE ST JOHNS PASS IS DEFINATELY WORTH SOME TIME AS WELL.

IF IT IS NOT TO FAR OUT OF YOUR WAY YOU SHOULD TRY TO DRIVE THE SUNSHINE SKYWAY... . BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF TAMPA BAY.

Get you a Florida Guide to State Parks!

Here is good book

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1878348299/103-3512472-7631031?v=glance

I just ordered it myself! It is geared for Divers but it shows the locations of alot of Springs that are non commercial and off the beaten Path. Like Royal, Little River, Cow, Troy, Blue Madison, Ichetucknee group. Shows alot of info on Crystal river.

Oh wow I noticed their is a springs guide on that page also might ought to get it, It might be better than the underwater guide. The underwater guide devotes alot of time to shipwrecks off the coast.

Bring a snorkel and jump in!

hey tejas what rode are you planning on taking to FL. i would try to stay off of I-10 threw louisianna it beat the heck out of me last year but once out of cajun country it was smooth sailing. this year i will try to go threw shrevport and across then down.

There's a bluegrass festival in Pensacola that weekend at Big Lagoon State Park.

We went to Wakulla Springs State Park, south of Tallahassee a few days ago. Boat rides to look at wildlife, including alligators.

Or a glass bottom boat to look at the bottom of the spring, more than 125 feet down. See catfish clear as a bell down there.

Good food in the "mansion", an old-style hotel-type place (yes, you can stay there).
