I am so stoked! My BFGoodrich AT's had 60,000 miles on them so Friday I went in and had new tires installed. As you can see from my sig I am using 315 75 R16 on the factory wheels. Well my truck has had the so called dead steer syndrome for about 1. 5 years. For those that do not know what this is it is where you cannot turn your wheel while sitting still.

Anyways, I felt that the tires were due to be replaced so I went in and got them replaced. Well I had been giving serious thought about going to 255 85 r16 so I could have a smaller footprint to help out the steering but at the last minute I said screw it and stuck with the 315's since I got the 4. 10 gears specifically for larger tires. I ended up getting the Dunlop Mud Rovers for 135 each.

Well for the point of this thread... ..... My steering is working great and the PS pump doesn't growl anymore. I can't believe it, after so long fighting with the wheel I can finally paralle park and turn into parking spots. Oo. Oo. What would cause this? The only thing I can think of is that the M/T style tread pattern has less rubber contacting the road so in essence was like downsizing to a smaller A/t or all season tread. All I can say is YEEEE HAAAAWWWW
