2006 ford f250 SD converted to 1997 12 valve with fuel delivery problems

6BT swap into a P30 chassis RV

I have the opportunity to purchase a Ford E 350 series van with a Quigley 4 x4 conversion that has the 7.3 liter V10 that had an engine area fire. The deal is too good to pass up if a Cummins conversion is possible. I want to install a pop up camper conversion, use it for camping offroad. Lots of melted parts under the hood, the FD saw the van in front of them and put out the fire quickly. The van only has 40K something miles and/was in great shape. The old man bought it back from the insurance company and ran into financial difficulties and is willing to sell it to me for less than what he bought it back for. Has anyone heard of doing Cummins conversion. It has the 1 ton Dana axles and is the same suspension behind the boat anchor Power Stroke powered vans. The fire didn't reach the interior/firewall.There are enough V 10's in the bone yards to swap out engines and wiring harnesses ect. I don't do gas powered & hope someone can give me some recommendations please and thank you

I'm not that mechanical nor familiar with Ford, so this is PURE opinion.... easy to hard, find another V-10... Wifes nephew is a tow truck driver and thinks they are POS, tows lots of RVs in with them. Dont know what failure issues are. Next is a Power Stroke, just on on connectivity ease, and if your real good or have friends who are, put in a Cummins. I dont do this level of mechanics, but I agree the Van 4x4 platform is worth it.

Cheers, Ron
