Now what Ford does not tell you is that the Dodge frame rail is hydro formed front to rear which results in a stronger frame rail and allows a smaller frame rail, in fact I have to wonder why it takes such a large boxed frame rail to make a Ford F150 truck perform like a Dodge, Chevy or even gasp a Toyota.

Dad called his GN hitch supplier to get info for a customer that wants to install a hitch in his new F150. Supplier said, "those frames are so light. He better not be pulling any more than an 1 horse trailer. "

They shorten the hitches warranty 'cause the truck has problems.

seems like they leave the dodge out on most of the truths, seems like a marketing ploy to me nothing more, one more time ford proves to me they can't ever sink to the lowest level, as soon as they hit what i feel to be the bottom, they go even lower.

The fuel tank crossmember on the Dodge is welded on both sides of the framerails, made out of a press formed round tube and is structurally stiffer in torsion as compared to the Ferd crossmember. (It is press formed as hydroforming it would be too expensive due to the cycle time necessary for that part. ) That dweeby little nerd they use for advertising nowadays is kinda funny. Maybe he should stick to pushing the Windstar. :p
