What's wrong with an old Ford

So what's wrong with buying a Ford? My first rig was a 1966 Ford F100 - 2nd was a 1968 Ford Mustang - 3rd was a 1986 Ford Ranger - 4th 1988 Bronco II - 5th 1983 FORD F250 - Do you see a pattern here and my driveway would still have a Ford pickup in it if they would use the Cummins for power.

Sorry I can't answer your question.

BTW - The wifes car is a FORD Escort with 138,000 trouble free miles.

Hi. .

I've had 2 1953 Ford F-100, restored one of them, even had a round AM radio dialer in dash, metal tube box on floorboard, had

a 215cu/in engine straight 6, parts were easy to get, place in Burlingame, near S. F. airport, sold way back when though, still

see some around here... sigh. :(

Thanks for all the responce I have had a 72 Torino then a 65 Mustang, and now a 97 Mustang. I miss my Dodge but had to trade it to get rid of our Troubled 96 Chevy Beretta(what a piece). Now I have the 64 ford to hall grass and to get arround town. It has a 223 L6 and 3 on the tree. It isnt in to bad of shape but some day We want to restore it.

Thanks

Mac

RCMC, the 223 is not a bad engine but a better 6 cyl combo is Fords 300 ci 6 cyl that came out in '65 I believe. They were used for 30 years and are near indestructable( We run them at UPS). I would look for an engine/4spd combo and bolt it in. Chris

Thanks Scot for the sitesOo.

Motorhead, Thats what I am planning eventually to drop in a 352 or a 390 with a 4 speed, When I get enough Money saved.

Thanks

Ryan
