"I don't have much to say except... ... ... ... ... ... ... ," (by moolie) hmmm really :-laf :-laf :-laf

moolie dont feel like people are against you on this board its just the way you come across. I have enjoyed reading your threads on the 3rd gen you are headed for some high hp... dont discount what people have to say on this board. People are running twins and cams on these 3rd gens already and i am sure you would be interested in what they have to say.

as far a feeling a sting i am sure everyone reading this thread feels the sting of laughter in their belly :)

if you want respect from this board you are going about it the wrong way. let your truck do the talking and answer ques. when you can. who knows you maybe the next kent crowder depends how much $$$ you got.

75$ entry fee thats pretty high but maybe not what do i know. . the local dyno day around here is free entry and winner gets a little cash not much but it does not bring in the big trucks so breaking it up into classes is the only way. single, twins, drugs.

just talked to a guy who helped run the dyno on sunday and there was 0 other trucks over 600 hp there

and only one drugged up duramax with over 500 so there u have it facts again don't lie of course you can argue that daylight in the winter is the same as summer but you'd be mistaken

Did I read correctly Richard made 733hp? If so, sounds like he was giving everyone a chance. And Moolie, wouldn't that have mean't you could have placed 2nd?

Sounds like a fun day. Anyone posting numbers anywhere?

And good Job Richard.

Moolie, did you show up? If not, why not?

Yeah, Richard's numbers were right around there. Something was up with his turbos.

Check out my sig for pictures.

Moolie,

I know it is tough to convey context through the internet. But, you just come off as arrogant. You want to state that you have made 550 HP in 6 months. I did 487 in the first month, [561(1. 01CF)] in 4 1/2 months, and [6?8(1. 02CF)] (I'll leave it to your imagination) in 9 months. On top of my small accomplishments I'm just 21 years old and did ALL of the work my-self and paid for it my-self.

But, even though I have accomplished that, I don't feel that I'm some bad*****. I try to stay humble about it (except for right now). If somebody else regognizes my accomplishments then great, but I don't go out tearing other people down just to make myself feel better (I know it doesn't look that way right now).

Sorry for the rant guys.

And Congrats to all who put down the numbers at the Dyno Day.

Later,

Wes

Just stand behind your accomplishments and let the good times roll.

Moolie,

I'm sorry for coming off as such a jerk. It's just that you have a TON to learn about these trucks and dyno competitions. Now, I'm not saying that I don't have PLENTY to learn, I'm right there with a lot of other guys. Again, sorry for coming off as a jerk.

This is the precise reason for these forums. Sometimes the best way to learn is to ask a question then sit back and take it all in. But, sometimes the best way to learn is to go tear up parts and learn the hard way. To each their own. Personally I use a little of each.

Now Moolie if you ever want to talk trucks my phone is open, and I'll be happy to discuss anything from Nitrous, Water/Meth, Blown Head-Gaskets, Turbo efficiency maps, Twins, Studs. You never know we both might just learn something.

Later,

Wes

Well I have been reading through this thread for a while and I dont think anyone needs to be sorry for anything they say to moolie. Your comment of "I have come this far in six months when everyone else has been trying for two years" (or something to that effect) is just total BS. If I was some punk millionare I could whoop you all over the dyno. HP = $$$$$$$$. Plain and simple. You buy the right parts that those people who have spent "2 years" researching, and possibly wasting money on trial, and you can get to that level too. BIG DEAL. Thats why myself and thousands of others ask questions. We want the experience of the people who have invested hundreds of hours in trial and error and are helpful enough to share there findings and errors with the rest of us. I myself am a mechanic and work on diesels daily and I dont come on this board running my mouth about how my #%* doesnt stink and that I have more money than everybody else so I can beat everyone on a dyno. I agree with crawler that I also have plenty to learn and I thank everyone who has helped me this far. Why dont you go through and read some of your posts after you step off your soapbox, and then think about the way you are coming off.

the only people who have a right to feel (not act) cocky are guys like ats, dtt,mr clutch peter, aaron @edge,TST guys, quad, enterprise, haisley machine crew, Joe D, the list goes on and on. There is one thing they all have in common innovation! They are the ones that are pushing the boundries. ex. the guys at bullydog got 550 hp out of a 3rd gen and the common rail had not been out 3 months. This was before the timing boxes where even out. pressure box twins and injectors.

crawler dont apologize you called it right! by the way are you using LB7 or LLY engine? great job with the truck these common rail engines it easy to get the fuel just hard on the duramax to get the air unless you hang twins under the truck but i am sure someone will figure a way out quadzilla said he had a duramax over 1000hp. i think he is in texas also... . is he your mentor?? keep it up.

moolie,

Go buy your own dyno then you could be number 1 everyday. Then again you will always be number 1... :-laf :-laf :-laf

Thanks for the pat on the back.

I have an LB7. i didn't buy until may and I had to look pretty hard to find one. The bad part is I got stuck with a California emmisions truck and have had to deal with EGR, Cat, etc.

No, Quad has had no part in this trucks performance. I've taken no ques from him, nor asked for any advice from him.

Quads truck blew up at Denton Dragway last fall and was never put back together. I was hoping he would put it back together and have it at the dyno day in October ( www.bigdawgdiesel.com ) , but it was still in pieces. One of his dealers showed up and did 594 though.

Speaking of dyno comps,

Jim (Fulmer) when are you coming back to Texas to show off your new built motor.

Last dyno was pretty wild and netted his best ever non-corrected numbers. I can't wait to see what a fresh motor can do with the kind of effort Jim puts out.

Thanks for the good laugh I mean read. I like the way Piers and Lenny break it down for us lower Hp truck. I think this is how they have it set up with Cash and or trophys for each class.

#1 anything as long as its safe

#2 twins / no drugs

#3 single / drugs

#4 single

#5 under 550

#6 under 450

#7 under 350

#8 under 250

It makes it fun for everyone. Stock or a power house. Just remember there is always someone faster/bigger/richer than you. So just learn as much as you can from the ones running on top of the pack. And go from there.

certainly not your mouth and how did you get that 11. 7 u had the window up right because otherwise your mouth would have caught too much wind and slowed u down

and as far as cocky no i'm not cocky but i'm not gonna argue what's right and what went down and if u want to argue that find a 3rd grader. I'm not cocky by any means but i'm not gonna show numbers and then have 8 people say they are phony or fake or i pulled them out of the back of the tdr book. If i had shown up yes there is a very good chance provided everything worked as it should i could have taken 2nd place however that's not amounting to crap. the point is i didn't and i believe that had mad dog not been there then a lot more trucks in my hp range around 550 to 650 would have shown up therefore altering the final outcome... ... . so i understand it's not easy admitting someone u don't like was right i don't hold that against u. Now i really must get to something a bit more usefull.
