Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) FP question

I just got a westach fp guage and hooked it up yesterday. I plumbed it in to the bottom of the filter canister with a tapped banjo. I was hesitant about the schrader for warrantee purposes, don't know if that is a valid concern or not. Anyhow I have 8 psi at idle and drops to 6 at moderate acceleration, and down to 4 at WOT empty on flat ground. Time for the new LP Right? I just wanted to know if the westach was hooke up properly. From What I gather the guage doesn't really work if hooked up incorrectly. Just wanted to make sure from some of your experiences.

sounds like you have a very weak pump, hope the dealer treats you right or just replace it yourself.
