Well, I now have 143K on the original brakes all around. Looking for suggestions on replacement pads, rotors, and calipers.

Are parts for 2000 to 2002 the same? I have an line on New Slotted Rotors and Pads that are for a 2002. Will these fit on a 2001.5?

Yes, they are the same from 2000-2002. I have read about people using 2003-2010 (2010's are larger) calipers pads and rotors in the front. Should all just bolt up.

If you get 2003+ rotors/calipers, you must get 17" rims to work. I personally am happy with the stock brakes on my 01, huge improvement over the single piston front calipers/rear drums. As far as replacement rotors/calipers, I just go to my local napa. I have had powerslot rotors and hawk pads but now just get whatever napa has and have been happy with them. also napa calipers don't seem to get surface rust on them as quick as other auto parts stores. Had my fronts on for a yr and still look good. Back calipers are working fine just have coat of surface rust. All four rotors and pads have been working great. Been exactly one year almost to the day did that job on my rig

Don't forget to get the bigger brackets that hold the calipers. I also did what is called the big brake conversion on my 2000. They us the same calipers with larger rotors and brackets which is why you need to go to a 17" wheel. You can get the brackets off ebay. They bolt right up

Thanks, Gentlemen,

I have 144K on the original pads and rotors and an acquaintance of mine and I were talking trucks and he said that he had a new set of rotors and pads that were for a 2002 that I was welcome to and I just wanted to confirm that they would fit on a 2001.5.

Wow, it has been a long time since I have posted because my signature is gone and I am listed as a new member this year. Been a member since 2001. Oh well, don't really mind much.

Thanks again and Merry Christmas to Everyone,

Paul
