Front bumper hitch

I also have the drawtite. Just bolts on. It has saved my bacon several times. I just put a ball mount in with a big clevis, been pulled out of mud with the 5er attached with no problems. When not in use I have a ram head thingy that stays in there to keep crud out and it also looks good.

I have the Drawtite that I purchased from E-trailer.com and it works great even after using it as a battering ram vs. a Nissan Ultima head on... I had to cute the lower fascia but not the bumper itself and it clears the license plate frame no problem.

I had the Draw tite brand on my last Dodge 1500. I had to remove the factory tow hooks to install it. I kept the hooks with intentions of putting them on my 2500 but never have. I installed the Hidden hitch brand front receiver on this truck and it will work with factory tow hooks and also with the DSS. JC

I need to move the license plate, it's just a hair too low. I'm not sure where that's going to end up.

My 99 got the Draw-Tite brand front receiver and I the license plate holder was mounted 1/4" to low so I made a license plate holder to go into the hitch with a chuck of 2" tubing and a piece of flat steel.
